Local 9 Series
Nine holes. Good people. No pressure.
The Local 9 Series is a casual way to get out, play some golf, and connect with other Dry Golfers.
These are laid-back nine-hole get-togethers built around the game and the people playing it; without alcohol being part of the experience.
You don’t need to be sober. You don’t need to be a great golfer. And you definitely don’t need to know anyone before you show up.
Just come play.

What Is a Local 9?
Local 9s started as a simple idea: make it easier for people to find a group to golf with where drinking isn’t part of the expectation.
We get together for nine holes, usually in a relaxed weekday setting, and let the golf be the golf.
Some people come because they’re sober. Some are sober-curious. Some simply prefer not to drink when they play.
Everyone is there for the same basic reason:
To enjoy golf and meet some good people along the way.
What to Expect
Local 9 events are intentionally simple and welcoming.
Expect:
- Nine holes of golf
- Casual pairings with other members of the community
- A relaxed, recreational atmosphere
- Golfers with a wide range of abilities
- No pressure to drink or explain why you don’t
- An opportunity to meet people before, during, and after the round
Depending on the event, we may offer different formats or optional ways to play, but Local 9s are never meant to feel like a serious tournament.
Keep pace. Have fun. Meet somebody new.
